What is your God like?
Does your God fit your standards?
Does he think the way you think?
Does he do what you expect him to do?
Does he say what you demand of him to say unequivocally?
Does he fit the logic of your mind?
If your answer is YES, then congratulations! You have a little god that is sensible and manageable, and created in another human mind just like yours.
The true God is too great to fit our ideas and expectations. He is beyond the limitations of our finite minds. One could even say the true God is too much for your mind to comprehend. That is the only true God there is. anything else is not God but man-made imaginations.
When you demand God to say or speak in a certain way that fits your theology or demans that he only does things in a way that is acceptable to you, then you dont need Gd. You are your own god.
When you ask, “How can God become a man and give His life to save evil sinners like us”, you only have 2 choices in response.
Either laugh and say
1. “This is too much to believe. God cannot do this. It is too ridiculous it blows my mind because of how illogical it is.”
Or confess that:
2. You are a sinner for whom Jesus died for and then thank him and worship him and love the One who gave his life for you.
You cant tell God what He can or cannot do.
Yes it is so mind-boggling that a genius can’t figure out how God does it. Likewise, God’s salvation through Jesus — it’s so simple that a child can receive forgiveness and eternal life by faith. And so can you, right now. You can secure the gift of eternal life that only Jesus gives.
‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,’ declares the Lord. ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts’” (Isaiah 55 v:8‑9).
Does your God fit your standards? – Yes, my standards (for God) are that of benevolence, no evil, and truth
Does he think the way you think?- No, He thinks much better than I, for He is greater than I.
Does he do what you expect him to do?- Sometimes, God’s plan is not going to always agree with me.
Does he say what you demand of him to say unequivocally?- No, He says what truly must be said. The Truth.
Does he fit the logic of your mind?- Not at all, I can only understand so much of Him, as God is both simple (He has no parts) but He is also wildly complex (A Tri-unity doesn’t work in the human mind)
