I know that’s a silly title…
But this is what Muslims want us to believe!
Let me explain what I mean.
Muslim scholars argue that the name Muhammad is in the Bible. One of their go-to verse for this claim is Song of Solomon 5:16.
“His mouth is most sweet, and he is altogether desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.”
In the Hebrew text, the original word for “desirable” is: מחמד . And Muslim scholars say it should be read as: “Mahammad”. Therefore Muhammad’s name is in the Bible.
In the context of Song of Solomon 5:16, a bride is describing her bridegroom as “altogether desirable”. Was Muhammad the bridegroom of this Jewish girl in the 10th century BC? How and when did Muhammad get there to meet her? Did his buraq take him back in time by a thousand years to be the husband of this Jewish girl?
This is what we must accept if we are to believe the Muslims who tell us that Muhammad’s name is found in this verse!
That is not the only place in Scriptures where we can find the name of “Muhammad.”
In Ezekiel 24:16, God says to the Prophet Ezekiel:
“Son of man, behold, I am about to take the DESIRE of your eyes away from you at a stroke; yet you shall not mourn or weep, nor shall your tears run down.
God was saying that Ezekiel’s wife was going to die. She is described as his DESIRE.
Guess what the original Hebrew word is for the word DESIRE in that verse?
==>desire [מַחְמַ֥ד maḥ-maḏ] <==
It’s the same word that is used in Song of Solomon! If Muslim scholars insist that it is the name of Muhammad, then we have to admit that Muhammad is also mentioned in Ezekiel 24:16 as the Prophet Ezekiel’s wife! And Muhammad died as the wife of prophet Ezekiel.
There’s more. The Prophet Isaiah mentioned “Muhammad” too. See Isaiah 64:11.
“Our holy and beautiful temple, Where our fathers praised You, Is burned up with fire; And all our PLEASANT things are laid waste.”
Using the same argument of Muslims that the Hebrew word is Muhammad, we discover that…Oh dear! According to the Prophet Isaiah, Muhammad is laid waste, burnt up with fire!
Is Muhammad mentioned anywhere else? Sure!
The Prophet Jeremiah wrote: “All her people groan seeking bread; They have given their PRECIOUS things for food to restore their lives themselves. “See, O LORD, and look, For I am despised.” Lamentations 1:11
Muhammad was exchanged for food to eat, according to Prophet Jeremiah!
From the Prophet Hosea: “Ephraim is stricken, their root is dried up, They will bear no fruit. Even though they bear children, I will slay the PRECIOUS ones of their womb.” Hosea 9:16
According to Hosea, God will slay Muhammad!
There are plenty more examples in Scripture. Muslims scholars have to be consistent. If they claim מַחְמַ֥ד maḥ-maḏ refers to Muhammad then all these Scripture verses that contain this word must refer to Muhammad too!
So if Muhammad is found in Song of Solomon as the altogether lovely bridegroom of a 10th century BC Jewish girl, then the same Muhammad is also found in Ezekiel as the unfortunate dying wife of the Prophet Ezekiel.
Jesus is described as being non desirable meek in nature and Muhammad literally means desirable thing, which is Satan himself. Ezekiel’s wife was as the temple for the Jews. The desired, precious thing of their eyes. That which they exalted above God, therefore the “Muhammad” of their eyes, is the devil of their hearts which they served and worship. A god made by themselves, in their image and not that of the creator.
where is Jesus described as being meek or non-desirable?
