Secret of The Sinister Black Stone

In the Bible Jesus is called “CornerStone“. (see Isaiah 28:16 ; Ephesians 2:20 ; 1 Peter 2:7 ; Psalm 118:22)

For example:

Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. Ephesians 2:20

This is one of the many TITLES for the Messiah and also a metaphor that shows us that Jesus is the firm and sure foundation for our lives.

Now listen to this. I believe Islam has introduced a counterfeit to usurp and deny Jesus, the true CornerStone by a literal cornerstone, the ‘black stone’, hajar al-aswad set in the corner of the kaabah!

Please read the following very carefully. (Note that all these hadith are quoted from islam-qa.com and are classified as sahih or better.)

1. It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: The Messenger of Allah said: “The Black Stone came down from Paradise.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 877; al-Nasaa’i, 2935.)

Jesus said: “I have come down from heaven…” John 6:38

2. It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: The Messenger of Allah said: “When the Black Stone came down from Paradise, it was whiter than milk, but the sins of the sons of Adam made it black.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 877; Ahmad, 2792)

WOW!
The Bible teaches that Jesus is perfectly sinless but He took on Himself all the sins of man, the sons of Adam!

“He who knew no sin became sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus said: “I have come to give my life as a ransom…” Mark 10:45

“…He bore the sins of many…” Isaiah 53:12

3. It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah say: “Touching them [the Black Stone and al-Rukn al-Yamani] is an expiation for sins.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 959.)

What is expiation? Atonement. The stone provides atonement for the sins of Muslims.

“He (Jesus) is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 John 2:2

“…Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood–to be received by faith.” Romans 3:25

Do you know Muhammad also claimed that the black stone will come forth on the Day of Resurrection with two eyes and a tongue to speak as an advocate for the sincere?

4. Ibn `Abbas further related that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “By Allah, Allah will bring it forth on the Day of Judgment, and it will have two eyes with which it will see and a tongue with which it will speak, and it will testify in favor of those who touched it in sincerity.” (See Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 961; Ibn Maajah, 2944)

“But if anybody does sin, we have an Advocate [who pleads our case] with the Father–Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” 1 John 2:1

Do you want Jesus Christ, the Righteous One to be your Advocate and speak for you on the Day of Resurrection or will you have that black stone growing eyes and tongue, do that for you?

So what does all this mean?

I shudder because I see a deliberate, sinister agenda to turn people away from experiencing true forgiveness and atonement and salvation in Jesus.

Jesus said: ” I am The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father EXCEPT through Me.” (John 14:6)

Can you believe it? An imitation inanimate counterfeit object is offered in place of the only WAY, TRUTH and LIFE! Where does that leave you Muslims?

Muslims mock Christians who tell them that Jesus came to save us from our sins. Yet, they have no problems about Muhammad saying the black stone can save you from your sins?

What matters most now is your salvation! You need to ask yourself why is a non-living stone taking the place of the living Jesus? Why is the black stone taking the place of Jesus who became an atonement for us? You reject Jesus but accept the black stone instead?

The Black Stone is the right hand of Allah Most High on earth.”

Ibn Qutayba in Ta’ wil Mukhtalif al-Hadith (1972 ed. p. 215=1995 ed. p. 198, 262)

Following are several reliable virtues of this sacred stone:

1). Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (r.a) reports that Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: ‘The black stone is a white ruby from the rubies of Jannah, Paradise, it was only blackened due to the sins of the those who join partners with Allah. It will be brought forth on the day of judgment as huge as mount Uhud, to testify on behalf of those who touched or kissed it in the world.’
(Appears in Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith: 2734)

2). Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (r.a) reports that Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:‘In deed on the day of judgement, this (black) stone shall have a tongue and two lips to testify for those who touched it.’
(Appears in Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 961, Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 2944, Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith: 2736 & Sahih Ibn Hibban, Hadith: 3711)

3). Ibn ‘Abbaas said: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: “When the Black Stone came down from Paradise, it was whiter than milk, but the sins of the sons of Adam made it black.”
(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 877; Ahmad, 2792. Classed as saheeh by Ibn Khuzaymah, 4/219. Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar classed it as qawiy (strong) in Fath al-Baari, 3/462).

4). Ibn ‘Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (s.a.w) say: “Touching them both [the Black Stone and al-Rukn al-Yamani] is an expiation for sins.”
(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 959. This hadeeth was classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi and as saheeh by al-Haakim (1/664). Al-Dhahabi agreed with him).

5). When the second Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab (r.a) came to kiss the Stone, he said in front of all assembled: “No doubt, I know that you are a stone and can neither harm anyone nor benefit anyone. Had I not seen Allah’s Messenger [Muhammad] kissing you, I would not have kissed you.” Ali, brother of prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) responded to Umar (r.a), saying, “This stone (Hajar Aswad) can indeed benefit and harm. Allah says in Quran that he created human beings from the progeny of Adam (as) and made them witness over themselves and asked them, ‘Am I not your creator?’ Upon this, all of them confirmed it. Thus Allah wrote this confirmation. And this stone has a pair of eyes, ears and a tongue and it opened its mouth upon the order of Allah, who put that confirmation in it and ordered to witness it to all those worshippers who come for Hajj.”
