Was Hitler A Christian?

The common reaction for many Muslims when confronted with the almost daily news of Muslims terrorists violence and suicide bombers blowing themselves and others up in the name of Allah, is to to point to Adolf Hitler and say, “Hitler was a Christian, he killed millions.”
Although Hitler grew up in a Catholic family, he later developed a hatred for Christianity and wanted to destroy it.

Hitler’s Youth leader Baldur von Schirach acknowledged,

“The destruction of  Christianity was explicitly recognized as a purpose of the national socialist movement (Nazi party).”

When he Hitler grew powerful, he tried to replace Christianity with a new “Reich Church.” It was a religion in which he was like a god.

In 1942, the Bible was banned in Germany.

Hitler printed his own religious book, where he even  had the audacity to change God’s 10 commandments to his new 12 commandments to include this “latest” command: “Honor your Fuhrer and Master”. (which, of course, was a reference to himself;  ‘fuhrer’ means leader and was Hitler’s title)

Hitler blasphemed God, rejected the Bible, and made it his aim to destroy Christianity.
Here are some of Hitler’s thoughts about Christianity & Islam.

“The best thing is to let Christianity die a natural death. A slow death has something comforting about it…”
“Hitler’s Table Talk”, translated by N. Cameron and R.H. Stevens, Enigma Books (1953)

“….so gutless a thing Christianity! -then we should in all probability have been converted to Mohammedanism [Islam], that cult which glorifies the heroism and which opens up the seventh Heaven to the bold warrior alone. Then the Germanic races would have conquered the world. Christianity alone prevented them from doing so.”
Adolf Hitler’s Monologe im Führerhauptquartier (Monologue with Headquarters of the Führer). Hamburg: Albrecht Knaus, 1980.

“The Mohammedan religion [Islam] too would have been more compatible to us than Christianity.”
Inside the Third Reich: Memoirs, pg. 115
